The 3D online constellation board

The Taxia board is a three-dimensional constellation table that opens in the browser. You can work on it alone or run a live session with a client and participants who join by link. Nothing to install.

Figures

Nine types: a standing human figure, a lying figure, a cone, a barrel, a cylinder, an arrow, a dog, a cat and a bird. Each figure gets a name, colour, size, rotation and material (matte, metal, glass). An arrow on the floor shows where the figure is “looking”. Figures can be duplicated and temporarily hidden.

Camera and the view through a figure's eyes

Four views: “Top”, “Angle”, “Side” and “View”. In “View” mode the camera takes the place of the selected figure, so you see the board from its position. The table rotates with the mouse and zooms with the wheel.

Time axis

A line from past to future can be switched on across the table. The facilitator adds up to five cross marks to note events and periods.

Live session

The facilitator creates a session and hands out two kinds of links: for representatives and for observers. A participant enters only a name, no sign-up. Representatives move figures, observers watch. Every movement is visible to everyone connected at once, and participants see the board styled exactly as the facilitator set it up.

The facilitator controls the session:

• “Hide”: hide the board while you prepare;
• “Lock”: temporarily stop participants from moving figures;
• “Access”: the participant list, role changes, revoking links;
• “End”: close the session and record the outcome.

Replay, review and report

All figure movements are recorded. The “Replay” button plays them back at 0.5× to 4× speed, which helps with the review after the session. The report contains the request, participants, figures, the movement log and the outcome. PDF export of the report is part of Board Pro. The “Frame” button saves a snapshot of the board as a PNG.

Metaphoric cards table

The same subscription includes a separate table for metaphoric associative cards: two built-in decks (“Images”, 48 cards, and “Abstract”, 24 cards) and uploads of your own decks, which only the person who uploaded them can see.

The board in Zoom

The board also works inside a Zoom meeting as the Taxia Constellation Board app: the host opens it for everyone in the meeting, and participants move figures without leaving Zoom. How to add the app
